Whoever suffers from سلس ( سلس البول - urinary incontinence, سلس البراز - fecal incontinence, or سلس الريح - flatulence incontinence) should perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun, after cleaning the affected area and the bag where the discharge collects. If cleaning the bag is difficult, it is permissible to pray in that state, as the person is excused. Scholars have differed on whether someone with سلس can lead others who are healthy in prayer. It is preferable for such a person not to lead others in prayer, to avoid disagreement. As for someone who emits odors that bother others, they should not go to the mosque and are excused, as it is disliked for someone with an odor that offends worshippers to attend the congregation.
