Is it permissible to shave the head completely ("to zero") to relieve oneself and remove worry and sorrow, in a case where one is not accustomed to it, and despite feeling psychological comfort, even though one's appearance before people will be different?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on shaving the head for men. Some say it is disliked (makruh) due to resemblance to the Khawarij, while others say it is permissible (mubah), which is the view of the majority. Shaving the head is permitted out of necessity, such as for medical treatment. As for shaving the head during pilgrimage (nusuk), it is recommended (mustahabb). However, shaving it as a sign of grief (for a calamity) is forbidden (haram).
