What is the ruling on shaving the entire head while leaving the front longer?

There are four types of head-shaving: For Hajj and 'Umrah: This is legislated and established by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus (Ijma'). For necessity (such as medical treatment): This is permissible by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus (Ijma'). As an act of worship, devotion, or asceticism, without Hajj or 'Umrah, or making it a distinguishing mark: This is a reprehensible innovation (bid'ah munkarah) and a characteristic feature of the Khawarij. Outside of pilgrimage rituals, neither as an act of worship nor for necessity: There are two opinions among scholars regarding this: dislike (makruh) (the view of Imam Malik) and permissibility (mubah) (the view of Abu Hanifa and Ash-Shafi'i, which is the more preponderant opinion).

It is not permissible to shave part of the head and leave part of it (al-qaza').
