Has the ruling of confining adulteresses to their homes been abrogated only, or has the entire verse been abrogated, including the condition of four witnesses for establishing the punishment? And is the necessity of four witnesses still required for implementing the punishment?

What is abrogated in the verse is the confinement of women, as it was abrogated by the verse of An-Noor and the hadith, "Take from me, Allah has made a way for them," which clarified the prescribed punishment for the fornicator (one hundred lashes and banishment for a year for the never-married, and one hundred lashes and stoning for the married). As for the condition of four witnesses, it is indicated by verses such as: "And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes," and His saying, exalted be He: "Why did they not produce for it four witnesses?" Therefore, to establish the prescribed punishment, four witnesses are required or the fornicator's confession.
