Does the dryness of impure clay purify something other than the ground, such as carpets, and is impurity transferred to whoever walks on it if it dries on the carpet?

Impure clay is not purified merely by drying on a carpet or other surfaces. If dry, impure clay touches a dry object, that object does not become impure. However, if it touches a wet object, it transfers impurity to it.
