What is the wisdom behind the supplication to enter medicine not being answered, despite diligence and excellence, while it was answered for those less diligent, and what is the way to be content with God's decree?

"Not getting into medicine is not the end of the world. The questioner should be content with Allah's decree and believe that what Allah has chosen is best for them. Allah knows what is best for His servant and is more merciful to them than they are to themselves. There may be good in this that a person does not perceive. One must rely on Allah and believe that He guides the heart of one who is afflicted with a calamity, so they know it is from Allah, and thus they become content and submit. There are other beneficial fields for Muslims that one can pursue. We should not look in this world at those who are above us, but rather at those who are below us. So, praise Allah for what He has given you, and rejoice in success and acceptance in life, and enter the field that your academic results allow. The supplication was not in vain; perhaps Allah averted a greater evil with it, or saved the reward for the Hereafter."
