What is the ruling on eating food into which ants have fallen and died, given the difficulty of removing them or after they have been removed? Does the ruling differ if the ants had eaten or passed over impurities before falling into the food? What should we do if ants fall into honey? Is the ant, which is forbidden to kill, part of the rule: "What the Lawgiver commanded to kill or forbade to kill is unlawful to eat"? And does what Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'di mentioned about the permissibility of eating worms and the like when they are attached to fruits apply to ants?

Food and drink in which ants have died are not rendered impure, because the ant's carcass is pure, as it is among those creatures that do not possess flowing blood.

The ants should be removed from the food or drink before it is consumed. One should not eat the ants with it if their removal is possible, because ants are considered among the unlawful and disliked insects by the imams, and due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If a fly falls into the vessel of any of you, he should dip it completely, then remove it."

If removing the ants is difficult, it may be eaten with the food, and there is no harm. If the ants are mixed in and indistinguishable, and their quantity is less than that of the food, both may be eaten together. If one doubts whether their quantity is less than the food, it should still be eaten, because food is not discarded due to doubt.
