Is it permissible to hang artistic paintings that depict faces only, and does that prevent angels from entering the place where they are hung, and if that is not permissible, is the one who made them sinful?

The image of a head alone, without the rest of the body, is among what is permissible. Hanging it is not prohibited on the grounds of it being an image. However, it might be prohibited due to glorifying it or being infatuated by it. If the seller knows that the buyer intends to use the permissible image for an unlawful purpose, then it is not permissible for him to sell it to him.
