If a worshiper feels an itch during prayer and then finds traces of stool after finishing it, and is not certain that it exited during the prayer, then he is not required to repeat the prayer, because certainty is not removed by doubt. It is among the jurisprudential rules that an impurity is attributed to the nearest possible time. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that a worshiper should not leave (his prayer) until he hears a sound or perceives a smell, and this is a great principle that things are judged to remain upon their original state until the contrary is certain. As for ablution, it is invalidated by the presence of traces of stool, but this invalidation is understood to apply to what is after the prayer. And one must beware of exaggeration and going to extremes in searching and scrutinizing matters of purity.
