Does a cover or clothes become pure when washed in a washing machine, given the presence of adhesive tape or its residue on them, which is removed after washing, knowing that the impurity was notional? And does the ruling differ if the impurity was actual?

This question stems from waswasah (whispering doubts). The crucial point is the removal of the impurity. So, if it is removed from the clothes and the cover, then both become pure. For unseen impurities, it is sufficient to wash them until it is predominantly thought that the impurity has been removed. Some scholars have estimated this to be three washes.
