The time for morning remembrances (adhkar al-sabah) begins from midnight until zawal (the sun's declination from its zenith), and the best time for them is from the appearance of dawn until sunrise. As for evening remembrances (adhkar al-masaa), they begin from zawal until midnight, and the best time for them is from after the Asr prayer until sunset. Missed prayers must be made up before engaging extensively in supererogatory acts (nawafil), because obligatory deeds are the most beloved acts to Allah, along with the necessity of hastening their make-up by performing the prayers of at least two days in one day, or five prayers if that is difficult.
