How does a Muslim maintain high spirits and activity during Ramadan?
To address the phenomenon of spiritual decline in Ramadan, four points should be noted:
1. Deeds are judged by their conclusions: Deeds and resolve should increase as Ramadan progresses, so that a Muslim concludes it with their best effort, and the last ten days are better than the first.
2. Ramadan is a few numbered days: Realizing the short duration of Ramadan, and that its hardship will pass while its reward remains, motivates a Muslim to strive diligently.
3. Observing texts of encouragement: Reflecting on the virtues of Ramadan, the multiplication of reward for worship therein, and learning about the state of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the righteous predecessors in their diligence in worship during it.
4. Seeking Allah's help: Frequently supplicating and imploring Allah Almighty to bestow upon the servant accepted righteous deeds in Ramadan.
