What is the ruling on a mother's excessive attachment to her deceased child, and what is the ruling on the mysterious disappearance of his pictures from the house despite the family members' oaths that they have not seen them?

The questioner and his wife are advised to be patient when their children die, for its reward is immense, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the child of a servant dies, Allah says to His angels: 'You have taken the child of My servant?' They say: 'Yes.' He says: 'You have taken the fruit of his heart?' They say: 'Yes.' He says: 'What did My servant say?' They say: 'He praised You and said: 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.'' Then Allah says: 'Build for My servant a house in Paradise and call it the House of Praise (Bayt al-Hamd).'" Weeping over the deceased is permissible if it is without wailing. As for photographs, scholars have differed concerning them, and it is better to avoid them altogether.
