What is the Shar’i ruling regarding a wife who curses her husband, his father, and his siblings, and has repeated this multiple times, and is the husband sinful if he makes a decision to restore his prestige and dignity, knowing that they have four children?
If a wife curses her husband's family, it is forbidden and unjust towards them, as Allah Almighty says: "And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne slander and manifest sin." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Cursing a Muslim is an act of immorality, and fighting him is disbelief."
This cursing carries several dangers, including:
1. Severing ties of kinship, which Allah Almighty has associated with corruption on earth. 2. Harming the husband, who has a great right over his wife. 3. The cursing may lead to divorce, which is the most detestable of lawful things to Allah.
The wife must repent and seek Allah's forgiveness, and strive to appease those she cursed and her husband. The husband must advise her, admonish her, prevent her from cursing, and treat her as disobedient until she returns to what is right.
