Does deliberate masturbation, when one is unable to perform ghusl, affect the validity of prayer?

Not every wound permits tayammum. Rather, whoever fears washing the injured area should wipe over it, or over a splint. Engaging in masturbation is forbidden and requires repentance. Whoever is afflicted by it and is unable to perform ghusl may perform tayammum, and their prayer will be valid, for a disobedient person is like others in the ruling of tayammum once their act of disobedience has ended. It is disliked for a man to cause himself to pray with tayammum. If kissing or intercourse with one's wife is disliked if it leads to tayammum, then what about the forbidden act of masturbation?
