How can jinn be polytheistic and astray despite their seeing devils, or there being no one to lead them astray?

There are several reasons for deviation, among them: the soul's pursuit of desires, bad companions, heedlessness, and being deceived by worldly life. The deviation of the jinn is not linked to Iblis; they caused mischief on Earth before Iblis gained power and resolved to mislead the children of Adam, and Iblis resolved to mislead the children of Adam specifically. The Quran has proven that among the jinn are the righteous and the unrighteous, and that they are of different ways.
