1. Divorce of an angry person: It does not occur if the anger is so severe that it leads to a lack of awareness; otherwise, it is valid.

2. Divorce of a person with obsessive thoughts (waswasa): It does not occur unless he pronounced it in a state of tranquility and stability.

3. Divorce of a bewitched person: It does not occur if he is not aware of what he is saying, or if he is overpowered in his will.

4. Doubt about the occurrence of divorce: It does not occur merely by doubt, because the default is the continuation of the marital bond.

5. Divorce during menstruation: It occurs according to the majority of scholars, while Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah preferred the view that it does not occur.

6. Determining the number of divorces: Based on the above, the questioner can determine the number of valid divorces. If they are less than three, or if there were no legally valid divorces, he may continue with his wife. However, if three divorces occurred while he was aware of what he was saying, then his wife becomes unlawful to him and she does not become lawful for him until she marries another husband willingly and he divorces her after consummation.

7. Following a Mufti: It is permissible to follow a scholar whose knowledge and piety are trusted regarding the non-occurrence of divorce. Otherwise, it is obligatory to ask trustworthy scholars for a detailed assessment of the situation.
