What is your opinion on loving carnal desire without transgressing the limits set by Allah, the Almighty?

Allah has adorned for people the love of desires, [derived from] women, and sons, and hoards of gold and silver, and branded steeds, and cattle, and tilled land. This is the enjoyment of worldly life. A person's love for desires is the eagerness to acquire and enjoy them.

There are four types of dealing with desires: 1. Complete abandonment: This is blameworthy in Islamic law. 2. Complete immersion: This is blameworthy in Islamic law. 3. Permissible utilization: Utilizing them without reaching an otherworldly purpose, which is permissible. 4. Utilization for the hereafter: Utilizing them to attain benefits in the hereafter, which is praiseworthy and religiously مطلوب (desired/sought).

If the acquisition of desires is through unlawful means, then it is forbidden. Natural inclination towards forbidden things without seeking to acquire them carries no sin. The love of good and striving for it is the perfection of happiness, while the love of evil and striving for it is a great evil. A person should minimize their engagement with the world and its desires to what benefits them in the hereafter and in obedience to their Lord. Allah has shown that it is fleeting and has encouraged longing for the hereafter.
