Is it obligatory to wipe over the splint for every prayer along with tayammum, and is it permissible to abandon wiping completely if that becomes difficult?

If there is a wound on one of the ablution organs that cannot be washed without harm, then it must be wiped directly. If that is not possible, a splint should be placed over it and wiped over. If wiping over the splint is not possible, then the sound part should be washed, and tayammum performed for the wounded part after completing the ablution. It is obligatory to combine ablution and tayammum for every prayer.
