What is the ruling on peeling the face, which is the removal of the outer layer of the skin?

Facial peeling is a type of cosmetic surgery that aims to remove signs of aging and appear younger. This act is considered forbidden and impermissible because it does not involve a necessity; rather, it is an alteration of Allah's creation and a tampering with it. Allah Almighty says: (And I will surely command them, and they will alter the creation of Allah.) An-Nisa/119. Also, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed those who alter Allah's creation for the sake of beauty, and this includes tattooing, plucking eyebrows, and teeth-filing. The excuses some offer, such as psychological pain or not achieving goals, do not justify this, for the cure for such obsessions lies in instilling faith and contentment with Allah's decree.
