Would expiation be accepted if the money was Haram, and is it obligatory in the case of breaking the fast for three days in Ramadan by masturbating and smoking, with the intention of making up those days and feeding sixty poor people?

The majority of scholars hold that whoever intentionally masturbates or smokes during the daytime in Ramadan has broken their fast and must repent and make up that day, but no expiation (kaffarah) is required according to them. However, the Malikis, in the well-known opinion of their madhhab, obligate expiation upon anyone who intentionally invalidates the fast by something that necessitates ghusl, or by consuming anything that reaches the interior of the body. The expiation according to them is: freeing a slave, or fasting for two consecutive months, or feeding sixty poor people. The more accurate view is that of the majority of scholars. It is important to note that intentionally breaking the fast in Ramadan without a legitimate شرعي excuse is considered one of the major sins. It is advisable to quit smoking and masturbation because they are legally forbidden.
