How do we reconcile the Prophetic prohibition of drinking while standing, and the scientific confirmation of its harm, with the fact that it is not forbidden by Sharia but merely deemed reprehensible (makruh), knowing the principle of "no harm and no causing of harm"?

We have previously explained that drinking while standing is not prohibited, and the claim of modern science regarding its harm requires clear evidence and serious studies. The default is non-prohibition, based on Allah's saying: "And do not say about what your tongues falsely describe – 'This is lawful and this is unlawful' – to invent a lie against Allah." Some scholars have gone as far as prohibiting drinking while standing, but the correct view is that it is disliked, due to the action of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Not every harm necessitates prohibition; the considered harm is that which is significant, whereas slight harm does not necessitate prohibition but rather dislike.
