1- Is it permissible to use the hide and hair of a dead animal (carrion)?

The ruling on using the hide of a dead animal (maytah) was provided in Fatwa no. 30241. As for its hair, the majority of scholars hold that it is not impure. This is the view of the Hanafis, Malikis, Hanbalis, and one opinion among the Shafi'is, which is the more apparent view because hair is not infused with life. Therefore, there is no harm in using it.
