It is not permissible for a Muslim to work as a public prosecutor in a country that is governed by man-made laws which contravene Islamic Sharia. Similarly, secretarial and clerical work takes the ruling of the original work, so it is not permissible to undertake it in a forbidden job due to the cooperation in sin and transgression involved. However, there is no objection to undertaking secretarial work related to permissible tasks.
