What is the ruling on working for a company that promotes foreign films, while donating a portion of the money to those in need, and is this considered helping people and providing them with an income?

It is permissible to trade in films with permissible content, and the money earned from them is lawful. As for films that contain forbidden scenes such as sex, nudity, or incitement to disbelief, it is forbidden to work in promoting them because it falls under cooperating in sin, and the money earned from them is impure and unlawful. Helping the poor does not justify working in promoting forbidden things. Charity given from unlawful money is not accepted, and its giver will not be rewarded for it, nor will Allah bless it; rather, it will be a burden upon him, for the pure does not erase the impure. Whoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
