Does the Hadith "Whoever is offered perfume should not refuse it" indicate prohibition (of refusal) or mere dislike (of refusal)?

It is known among scholars that the prohibition in the Hadith against refusing perfume is interpreted as an act of dislike (makruh). Al-Tirmidhi categorized it as such, and no scholar has challenged the ruling of dislike, nor is it known that anyone has ever stated that refusing perfume is forbidden (haram).
