Is it permissible to use sorcery, charlatanry, and bribery to obtain a job when in dire straits?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to use magic and sorcery to obtain a job, because they are acts of disbelief (kufr), and believing those who claim them is disbelief. It has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her anus, or goes to a soothsayer, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him." What is with Allah cannot be attained through disobedience to Him. Therefore, you must fear Allah and supplicate with sincerity and devotion.
