Could the reason my husband is not being hired—despite his qualifications, experience, and passing interviews—be due to sorcery (sihr), and how can sorcery be nullified and sustenance (rizq) be expanded, and what are the supplications (du'as) and Quranic verses for bringing sustenance and nullifying sorcery?

Sorcery is a malevolent act in which the sorcerer uses devils to influence people. It cannot be definitively stated that the husband being prevented from employment is due to sorcery, but legal ruqyah can be used. Sustenance has causes, including: fearing Allah, "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect," and maintaining prayer, "And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast in it. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness," and exerting all possible efforts. The husband should not despair and should look into other fields, such as trade.
