How can it be clarified that the hijab is not a symbol of Islam, and what is its symbol if one exists, and what does it represent to the Muslim woman?

Islam is a creed, a law, and ethics. Its symbol and emblem is the word of monotheism: "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." As for the cross, it is the emblem of the disbelieving Christians and a symbol of their lie, their claim of crucifying Christ. Allah Almighty has clarified the falsehood of this by saying: "And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him." Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. As for the hijab, it is a religious obligation for women; it is a protection, purity, and chastity for her.
