Striking one's wife is not permissible except within শরীয়াহ-compliant boundaries. Consequently, your wife becomes irrevocably divorced from you (major separation), and she is not lawful for you until she marries another husband. The remaining pronouncements of divorce are acts of transgression and mockery of Allah's verses. Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce as long as the person uttering it is aware of what he is saying. If the wife raises her hand with the intention of causing harm, she is disobedient (nashiz), and there is a শরীয়াহ-prescribed remedy for disobedience. Ignorance of what you have done to her due to anger indicates its dire consequences.
