What is the ruling on supporting and spending on one's family at the expense of delaying marriage? And what about the Hadith: "Begin with yourself"?

If you fear falling into what is unlawful (haram), then marriage becomes obligatory for you. It takes precedence over spending on your family if you cannot combine both. If your family needs financial support and you are unable to provide for them, then their maintenance becomes obligatory upon their well-off, inheriting relatives. The advice is to rely on Allah and strive to seek lawful sustenance to make yourself chaste and to spend on your parents, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him."
