Is listening to soft music that helps abandon masturbation and provides psychological comfort forbidden?

Singing is forbidden - even if it is quiet - if it is accompanied by music or incites instincts. There is a warning against the temptation that it is a comfort or a cure for masturbation; rather, it increases instincts and fuels lust.

Singing is not a medicine or a comfort; rather, it is a hardship, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a difficult life." True comfort lies in connecting with Allah, for the heart finds no peace except in His remembrance, His love, and servitude to Him.

Sing with the words of Allah, for it is an alternative to singing that delights the heart and brings peace to the soul, as the Prophet said: "He is not of us who does not chant the Qur'an." Singing that incites temperaments and arouses desires is forbidden, because it leads to immorality, temptation, and depravity, and there is no disagreement among respected scholars regarding its disapproval and condemnation.
