It is obligatory for the wife to obey her husband in what is right and to not leave his house except out of necessity or with permission. Even if she is divorced, she must not leave before the (waiting period) expires. If the wife leaves rebelliously (nashiz), it is obligatory for her to return to her husband's house. The husband is not required to go and bring her back, but it is preferable for him to do so to mend hearts and foster a good relationship. If the wife does not obey, the husband should pursue means of reconciliation with her.
