Is it permissible to use other instruments, such as an anklet, with the duff (tambourine) at wedding celebrations?

Instruments of amusement are forbidden at weddings and other occasions, except that the Shari'ah has made an exception for the drum (duff) to announce and publicize the marriage, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The distinction between what is lawful and unlawful is the drum and the voice." It is not permissible to use other instruments of amusement due to the temptation and forbidden sounds they entail. It has been reported: "Two sounds are cursed in this world and the Hereafter: a pipe at a blessing, and a wail at a calamity."
