How can children honor their father who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder and harms them and their mother, and does the mother lose the reward for her patience with her husband because of her reactions sometimes to his harm?

We advise you to continue to be dutiful to your father, to treat him with kindness, and to be patient with him no matter how badly he behaves. Try to gently and kindly explain his mistakes to him, and that he must improve his character and rid himself of obsessive thoughts by seeking refuge in Allah from Satan. As for your mother, we advise her to continue to treat him with kindness, be patient with him, control herself when angry, and excuse him because of his obsessive-compulsive disorder.
