What is the ruling on drinking mare's milk for a patient suffering from a stroke, and on marrying an adopted person of unknown parentage who is, however, committed to Islam, and what is the formula and manner of the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood al-sahw)?

There is no objection to drinking mare's milk, as it is pure. It is permissible to marry an abandoned child (laqeet) if he/she is a person of religion and good character. An abandoned child is a child who was abandoned or lost and whose lineage and origin are unknown, and he/she may or may not be born out of wedlock. To understand the description and placement of the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw), one can refer to Fatwa no. 30207.
