Is it permissible for the wife's family to annul the marriage and request abandonment of the wife without cause, knowing that the husband is married to another in an Arab country without having consummated that marriage, and is awaiting a verdict in the first divorce case?

A woman is not permitted to seek a divorce without a valid reason, and it is even less permissible for her family to do so. Endeavoring to separate a married couple is a grave sin. If the family's demand for divorce is due to a delay in consummation, then if there was an agreement to postpone it, or if it is customary, they have no right to demand divorce. However, if there was no agreement to postpone the consummation, then they have the right to demand either consummation or divorce. It is the wife's right that her husband consummate the marriage after the عقد (marriage contract), and if he fails to do so, she has the right to request the annulment of the marriage after four months have passed. Annulment is not permissible except by a judge's ruling.
