Does a second divorce take place after a previous divorce that the family was not informed of?

If a husband conditions a divorce upon a specific matter, it is required that the condition be directly connected to the utterance of the divorce, so that no unrelated speech or long silence intervenes between them.

Accordingly, the husband’s statement, "If you bring up the topic," made minutes after uttering the divorce, does not make the divorce conditional.

Since the divorce صيغة (formulation) was explicit, it is considered a second divorce (ṭalāq), and he may reconcile with his wife before the end of her waiting period (iddah).
