What is the view of Islam regarding people of other religions? Are all non-Muslims sinful for not following Islam? Can a non-Muslim enter Paradise without converting to Islam?

Other religions are divided into: false religions, such as idol worship, and abrogated religions, which are those followed by the prophets before our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. These were valid at their time, but Islam abrogated them, not in the core beliefs such as the knowledge of God, angels, paradise, and hellfire, but in the methods of worship. The proof for this is the Almighty’s saying: (And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (By the One in Whose hand is my soul, no one from this nation, whether a Jew or a Christian, hears about me and then does not believe in that with which I have been sent, except that he will be among the people of the Fire). Islam does not view them as merely sinful, but as disbelievers who will abide eternally in the Hellfire, as stated in the Almighty’s saying: (Indeed, those who denied Our verses and were arrogant toward them – the gates of the heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals).
