What is the ruling on tattooing a mole (habbat al-khaal)?

The impermissibility of tattooing has been previously explained. As for tattooing a mole, if it is to change its color, then tattooing is not a treatment and may make it darker. Treatment should be sought from doctors for removal or whatever they deem appropriate. If the intention is to create a mole through tattooing, please refer to Fatwa No. 102901.
