Is the ruling on eating what lives in rivers, lakes, and water swamps, such as fish and other creatures, similar to the ruling on permissible seafood?

Everything that lives in water is permissible to eat, whether it be sea water, river water, or otherwise. This includes all types of fish, and they are absolutely permissible whether they died from an apparent cause or naturally, whether they floated to the surface of the water or not.
