What is the ruling on a mother searching for a righteous husband for her daughter through messages below religious channels or on marriage websites, due to her daughter's advanced age and the lack of suitable proposals for her?

There is no harm for a woman to search for a righteous husband through lawful means, or for her mother or female relatives to search for him on her behalf. Sending messages to religious channels for the purpose of marriage is permissible as long as it does not lead to something unlawful, although it is difficult to ascertain the suitor's character through this method. One who desires marriage should fear Allah, supplicate, and persistently implore his Lord, and should search through permissible and customary means, such as entrusting someone he trusts to search for him.

The advanced age of a girl should not lead her to accept a person who has neither religion nor character. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised accepting a person of religion and good character, for "If there comes to you one whose religion and character you approve, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and great corruption." A person of religion honors a woman, and even if he dislikes her, he does not wrong her, unlike one who has no religion.
