Is the money paid to the leader of a military dam for the passage of goods trucks, without injustice, oppression, or intimidation, unlawful money, and is it permissible to use it personally for food and clothing?

Gifts to employees are forbidden, and it is not permissible for them to accept or benefit from them, unless authorized by the person empowered to grant permission from the employer. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that these gifts are an act of ghulūl (embezzlement/betrayal) and a breach of trust, and that they are given due to the employee’s position, not for the employee himself. Whoever conceals anything from these gifts will be brought forth with it on the Day of Judgment. However, if the authorized official permits the employee to take the gift, then there is no blame upon him.
