What is the meaning of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The Dajjal will be followed by seventy thousand of the Jews of Isfahan, wearing Persian cloaks (tayalisah)"? Is "tayalisah" the same as the Shia turban? Is "Isfahan" the present-day Esfahan? And will the Jews return there upon the appearance of the Dajjal, despite their current gathering in Palestine?

"The tayalisa (a type of garment) are worn over turbans. Asbahan is mentioned with both a fatha (short 'a' sound) and a kasra (short 'i' sound) on the hamza, and with both a ba (ب) and a fa (ف).

Regarding the presence of Jews there, it is mentioned in a hadith that the Dajjal will emerge from the Jewish quarter of Asbahan, and seventy thousand Jews wearing crowns will follow him. It was named 'Jewish' because it was exclusively inhabited by Jews, then Muslims settled there, and only a part of it remained for the Jews. The hadith means that the Dajjal will be followed by seventy thousand Jews from Asbahan, not that all the people of Asbahan are Jews."
