How can one get rid of the habit of lying indirectly supported by the mother?

The default ruling regarding lying is prohibition. It is not permissible to engage in it to please one's mother or anyone else, because "there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator." Avoiding falsehood is achieved by understanding the virtue of truthfulness and the vileness and harm of lying. Truthfulness is the path to happiness, while lying is the path to misery. Nothing will benefit servants on the Day of Judgment except their truthfulness. Truthfulness is the essence and spirit of faith, while lying is a harbinger of disbelief and hypocrisy. Furthermore, a Muslim must strive against their own self, hold it accountable, be mindful of Allah Almighty, and supplicate to have a truthful tongue.
