Are not a woman's hands and feet part of her 'awrah (parts that must be covered)? So why is it permissible for her to wear gloves and shoes that define their size? Is it not obligatory to cover them with loose-fitting clothing?

A woman is required to cover her entire body from non-mahram men, including her hands and feet. She should cover her hands with her sleeves or gloves, and her feet with her garment, socks, or shoes. It is a condition that the garment she uses to cover her body should not be transparent or describe the size of her bones. This is based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Order her to wear a ghilalah (undergarment) beneath it, for I fear it may describe the size of her bones." As for the hands and feet, we do not know of anyone who necessitates that the gloves or shoes be loose, because there is no fitna (temptation) in them, and necessity dictates that the glove fit the hand and the shoe fit the foot.
