Did the divorce take place based on the mentioned condition, and how many divorces were counted?

We understand from the question that you made your wife’s divorce contingent on 20 days passing from her request for divorce without your answering her. This is a suspended divorce that takes effect upon the expiry of the period. If what you uttered when she contacted you was an

acknowledgement of what had occurred and a confirmation of it, then one divorce is counted. If this was the first or second divorce and your wife is still within her waiting period (iddah), then you may take her back without a new contract or mahr (dowry). It suffices to inform her of this. We note that the suspension is dissolved once it occurs. So, if you take her back and she then requests a divorce and the period elapses, the divorce will not occur again.
