Is it permissible, in Sharia, for my wife not to help me financially during my hardship, knowing that I am the one who bought the apartment with my money and registered it in her name for her to relinquish it later, but she and her father refused that, and she says it is hers and demands a divorce and expels me from the apartment and neglects my rights, and refuses to sell the apartment to solve our financial crisis? And would I be unjust to her if I divorce her?

We advise the husband to discuss with his wife to clarify his rights and the rights of her children, and to warn her of the consequences of injustice and consuming people's wealth unlawfully. Her right upon him is only to spend with fairness. She is not entitled to seize his dwelling under the pretext of custody. The husband can seek assistance from wise individuals to reconcile between them. If that does not succeed, then he should weigh the harms of divorce against the harms of continuing the marriage and choose the lesser of the two evils. Also, one must be cautious about depositing money in usurious banks, as it is unanimously prohibited.
