What is the ruling on opening an email account with Yahoo and Hotmail, and are they Jewish?

There is no harm in opening an email account on sites like Yahoo and Hotmail, even if they are owned by Jewish companies. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions engaged in buying, selling, and other permissible transactions with Jews. However, it is better to open an email account on Islamic websites to support and increase them.
