To what extent is the hadith "If the Arabs are lost, Islam is lost" or "If Islam is lost, the Arabs are lost" authentic?

The aforementioned statement is not found in the books of Hadith. Islam did not glorify Arabs alone; non-Arabs have played a significant role in glorifying Islam. The majority of scholars believe that the Arab race is superior to others, but there are many individual non-Arabs who are superior to many individual Arabs.
